How do we replace bitterness with blessing? Let the grace of God be at work.

How do I face pain, evil, and suffering? Only in the cross.

Jesus loved tables. The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost. And the Son of Man came…eating and drinking. Perhaps we can learn something about evangelism: who doesn’t love a table?

We are shaped by stories, habits, and relationships. What if, by the Spirit of God, these were changed to healthy ones?

What if we thought of our spiritual community as a spiritual habit?

It’s possible to raise our kids with Christian-ish stuff, but not raise them up with Christ. It’s possible to raise them dependent, but not raise them up. It’s possible not to raise them at all. But to raise them…up…with Christ…involves complete self-surrender and authentic sacrificial love. There is no substitute. There can’t be. If there was, Jesus would have chose it.
